Ham Hocks And Red Beans Recipe

  1. Wash and soak beans 2-3 hrs, or possibly overnight, if preferred.
  2. When ready to cook, drain off water and put beans in large pot with two qt cool water.
  3. Let water heat thoroughly, then add in ham hocks, herbs, and onion.
  4. Cook slowly but steadily at least 2 hrs or possibly till tender.
  5. Serve with rice, green salad and corn bread.
