Chaliapin Pork Steak
- 4 slice Pork (roast, breast) thick cuts
- 2 Onions
- 2 clove Garlic
- 200 ml Red wine
- 1 Salt, pepper
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Cut along the grain of the pork and lightly pound with the back of a knife, then flatten to about 5 mm thick with a wooden pestle.
- Grate the onions and garlic and put into a dish.
- Add the pork and marinate for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the pork and roughly wipe away the excess onions and garlic.
- Sprinkle on a bit of salt and pepper (Set aside excess onions and garlic).
- Put the butter and vegetable oil in a frying pan and turn the heat to medium.
- Cook both sides of the pork.
- Once the pork has cooked through, add the red wine and the onions and garlic you set aside in Step 3.
- Bring to a boil.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve.
