Baked Jalapeno Poppers with Bacon
- 15 whole Jalapenos
- 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 6 ounces, weight Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 1/4 cups Mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon Tabasco Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley
- 1/4 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 18 teaspoons Salt
- 4 slices Bacon, Cooked And Crumbled
- 1 cup Italian Flavored Croutons, Finely Ground
- Note: please wear plastic gloves when working with jalapenos, and do not touch your face.
- Slice jalapenos in half and remove seeds and membranes from the jalapenos.
- Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees F for 15 minutes to soften.
- Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Tabasco, parsley, garlic powder, and salt.
- Mix until thoroughly combined and smooth.
- Add crumbled bacon and mix well.
- Spoon filling into cooled jalapenos.
- Sprinkle with ground croutons, pressing into filling.
- Spray tops with canola oil.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 18-22 minutes, until topping has a golden brown crust.
- Serve warm.
- Makes 30 appetizers.
