Smoky Killer BBQ Sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 14 cup minced fresh onion
- 1 12 cups water
- 12 cup tomato paste
- 12 cup white vinegar
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 34 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon whiskey
- 14 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
- 18 teaspoon garlic powder
- 18 teaspoon paprika
- Heat oil in a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat.
- Saute the onion for 5 minutes until they start the brown.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring mixture to boil then reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/4 hours, uncovered, or until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat.
