Mom's Stuffed Cabbage Recipe

  1. Add in water to large pot and allow to boil.
  2. Add in cabbage to boiling water for about 5 min.
  3. Cover cabbage while preparing mix.
  4. Wash rice.
  5. Mix together rice, egg, salt, pepper, grnd veal and about 2 Tbsp.
  6. tomatoes.
  7. Fry onion and add in to mix.
  8. Add in water if filling is not soft sufficient.
  9. Place filling in center of large cabbage leaves; fold over to seal.
  10. Cut up remaining cabbage and place on bottom of pan.
  11. Add in stuffed cabbage.
  12. Add in tomato soup and tomatoes; also about 1 can of water.
  13. Cook on stove for approximately 1 1/2 hrs.
  14. May be prepared a day ahead of time if preferred.
