Feta Cheese Felafel
- 2 Tins chick peas in water, drained
- 2 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Plain flour
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1/2 Lemon juice and zest
- 50 grams Feta cheese
- 1/2 Onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp Cumin seed
- 1 tsp Coriander seed
- 1 tsp Heaped of turmeric
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 pinch Chilli pepper
- 1 dash Evoo
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Chopped fresh coriander
- 1 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley
- Add the cumin and coriander seed with the onion to a shallow non stick frying pan, toast for 2 minutes and transfer to a food processor.
- Drain the chick peas and add to the food processor.
- Add all other ingredients except the olive oil and blend to a rough paste.
- Heat the oil in the pan, form the paste into patties and roll them in flour so they will be easier to handle and not too sticky in the pan.
- Fry lightly for 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve with pitta bread, salad and a mint yoghurt sauce, or however you like!
