Almond Torte
- 1 angel food cake
- 1 pt. milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 4 egg whites
- pinch of salt
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1 pkg. Dream Whip
- toasted almonds or coconut
- Make atustard
- of
- milk,
- egg yolks, sugar, flour and salt in top
- oft
- double
- boiler.
- When done and while still hot, add gelatin
- which has been softened in cold water.
- Add almond extract.
- Whip
- Dream
- Whip as directed on package; set aside. Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Combine whipped topping, egg whites and custard.
- Break the cake into bite-size pieces into deep baking dish.
- Pour custard mixture over cake and let stand overnight.teveral

- Cover with toasted almonds or coconut.
