Favorite Fried Salmon Cakes

  1. Drain salmon, reserving juice.
  2. Mix salmon, egg & onion until sticky.
  3. Stir in flour.
  4. Mix baking powder & reserved juice; add to salmon mixture, mixing well.
  5. Fry in melted shortening until golden brown.
  6. Drain on layers of paper towels.
