Thumbprint Jelly Cookies Recipe

• 3/4 pound butter (1 1/2 c.)
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 3 c. flour
• 2 egg yolks
• 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• Jelly
• 1 egg white
• 1/2 c. walnut pcs (optional)

1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Add in flour, yolks, baking pwdr and vanilla.
3. Mix well.
4. Drop by teaspoonful on well greased cookie sheet.
5. Make thumbprint in center of each cookie and put jelly in these depressions.
6. If you like, add in walnut bits on the cookies.
7. Brush all the cookies with egg white.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 min or possibly till brown.
