Ma's Bloody Mary Herring Cocktail
- 2 teaspoons vodka 2 parts vodka
- 4 teaspoons juice 4 parts clamato juice
- 1 teaspoon horseradish heaping teaspoon
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon red hot pepper sauce any type of hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon lime juice fresh
- 1 teaspoon bechamel (white) sauce WINE sauec from pickled herring jar
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 dash black pepper freshly ground
- 1 slice limes fresh
- 2 whole green olives
- 1 x herring, pickled 1 piece of pickled herring marinated in wine sauce
- 1 x toothpicks
- Mix all ingredients and pour into a glass filled with ice.
- You may wish to rub lime juice on the outer edge of a tall glass and then roll the rim in celery salt.
- Garnish with a wedge of fresh lime and a toothpick with a piece of herring sandwiched between two green olives.
- Perfect for a New Years Day brunch.
