Italian Biscotti

  1. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until well blended; beat in eggs until fluffy.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt, then stir into butter mixture until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Divide dough into 3 parts.
  5. Shape each part into a long roll 1 1/2-inches in diameter.
  6. Place each roll on cookie sheet and flatten top slightly.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven; cut into 3/4-inch slices.
  9. Place slices in rows 1-inch apart on cookie sheet.
  10. Bake until golden brown.
