  1. In a medium sauce pot take the cream, half n half and milk and bring to a simmer.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, bay leaf and nutmeg and cook for about 20 minutes.
  3. Turn the heat off and remove from the stove.
  4. Add the grated cheese slowly with a whisk until completely incorporated.
