Cherry and Tangerine Oatmeal

  1. In a nonmetal bowl combine oates, cherries, tangerine peel, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
  2. Stir in milk; cover and chill for 8-24 hours.
  3. To serve, transfer oatmeal mixture to a saucepan.
  4. Heat just to boiling; reduce heat.
  5. Simmer uncovered 5 mins or until oatmeal is done, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Stir in butter until melted.
  8. If desired, top with warmed milk, sugar and nuts.
