Grandma's Scalloped Ham Dish Recipe
- 2 thin slices smoked ham
- 6 c. pared, sliced potatoes
- 2 c. scraped, sliced carrots
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tbsp. flour
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- Salt & pepper
- Brown ham slightly on both sides in skillet.
- Remove and cut into serving size pcs.
- Combine flour with fat in skillet and add in soup.
- Then gradually stir in lowfat milk and heat to boiling point, STIRRING constantly.
- In a large bowl (casserole) arrange layers of ham, potato, carrots and onion.
- Sprinkle vegetables lightly with salt and pepper.
- Pour warm soup/lowfat milk mix over this.
- Cover and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Then uncover and bake 30 min longer.
- Serves 6.
