Green Chilie Pie
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped onions (chop very fine or saute slightly)
- 1 c. half and half
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Spanish seasonings, if available
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 pie shell (Pet Ritz deep dish)
- Bake pie
- shell
- for
- 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle Jack cheese, 1/2 cup
- of
- the sharp cheese, onions and chopped chilies into the shell.
- Beat
- the
- eggs,
- half
- and
- half
- and
- seasonings together.
- Add to the pie.tprinkle remaining sharp cheese on the pie.
- Bakett 325u0b0 for 40 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out dry.
- Put cookie sheet under pie while baking it. Serve hot or cold.
- Good served with a salad.
