Smothered Chicken
- 5 to 6 pieces leftover fried chicken
- 1 sm. onion, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 pkg. chicken gravy mix
- Add left-over chicken to 2 tbsp.
- cooking oil and heat up slightly.
- Add cut up onion and cook until opaque.
- Add water, cover and simmer 15-20 minutes.
- Remove chicken and whisk together cream, milk and gravy mix and seasonings.
- Return chicken to pan and cover and simmer on very low heat 5 minutes.
