Carbonara without Heavy Cream

  1. Prepare the soft poached egg.
  2. You can refer to this.
  3. Put all the ingredients as well as the poached egg into a deep dish for pasta.
  4. You don't have to melt the butter.
  5. For the salt, go light to adjust later to taste.
  6. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water as the instructions on the package.
  7. Remove from heat to drain.
  8. While the pasta is cooking at Step 3, saute the bacon.
  9. Add mushroom or vegetables if you wish.
  10. Toss the piping pasta in the the reserved sauce and sprinkle salt to taste.
  11. Serve immediately garnished with the bacon and it's done.
