Tomato Soup

  1. Cook onion and butter or margarine until onioin is tender but not brown.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce and spices.
  3. (If using seasoned tomato sauce, omit basil and thyme.
  4. ).
  5. Cook just until boiling.
  6. Stir in water and instant chicken bouillon.
  7. Cook until the mixture is heated through.
  8. Serve with parmesan croutons (optional).
