Honey Balsamic Glazed Steak
- 1- 1/2 pound Steak, I Used Tri Tip
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 dash Red Pepper Flakes
- Cut the steaks into big chunks; depending of the size of your steaks, you might get 2 to 3 chunks.
- In a bowl combine the honey, vinegar and pepper flakes.
- Place the steak chunks in a smaller, flat-bottomed dish and cover with 3/4 of the sauce mixture; cover the dish and put in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Remove and flip the meat over and return to the fridge for another 30 minutes.
- Reserve the rest of the sauce.
- Heat a grill pan over high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, add the chunks of meat.
- Glaze each piece with the remaining sauce, flip the chunks and glaze the other side.
- Depending on the size of your chunks, youll want to cook the meat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
- Once the steaks have reached the desired level of doneness, remove them from the pan and let rest for several minutes.
- I serve these with pasta or mashed potatoes and roasted veggies.
- Notes:
- My boyfriend loves the sauce and uses whatever is left over from the glazing as a dipping sauce.
- My mom doesnt like things super sweet so when I make this for her, I use a little less honey and a little more vinegar; you can add a little at a time till you reach the flavor you like.
tri, honey, balsamic vinegar, red pepper
