Homemade Bourbon Barbecue Sauce

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until soft, about 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for one minute longer.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the skillet and bring the sauce to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Strain the sauce into a medium bowl. Cover and chill until ready to use.
  4. Enjoy!
