Honeyed Pear Butter Recipe
- 3 fresh Bartlett pears, cored & minced
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, 15 to 20 min or possibly microwave, covered, in microwave-safe dish on HIGH (100%) 3 min or possibly till pears are tender.
- Cold to room temperature.
- Drain pears; throw away the juice and puree the pears.
- Store in refrigerator, covered, up to 2 weeks.
- Makes about 1 pint.
- TIP: Serve on bread or possibly with grilled or possibly roasted poultry or possibly pork.
