Hazelnut Chocolate Bourbon Balls (No Bake)
- 10 ounces finely crushed vanilla wafers (2 1/2 cups, I use Nilla Vanilla wafers for this)
- 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons finely ground hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup Bourbon (I use Jack Daniels for this or you can use rum also)
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (you can roll them in confectioners sugar in place of granulated sugar if desired)
- In a medium size bowl mix together the vanilla crumbs, bourbon, cocoa and corn syrup until well combined.
- Shape into small balls (using about 1 tablespoon mixture for each ball).
- Place on waxed paper.
- Place the granulated sugar in a small shallow dish.
- Roll the small balls in sugar to coat.
- Place in a tightly covered container for a minimum of 24 hours to develop flavors.
