Beer Battered Catfish On Vinegar Slaw Recipe

  1. Whisk 1/3 c. flour, salt, and pepper in medium bowl to blend.
  2. Whisk in beer.
  3. Add in sufficient oil to heavy large skillet to reach depth of 1/2 inch.
  4. Heat oil to 350 degrees.
  5. Place remaining 2 Tbsp.
  6. flour on plate.
  7. Coat fish with flour.
  8. Dip in batter, letting excess drip off.
  9. Fry fish till golden and crisp, about 4 min per side.
  10. Drain fish on paper towels.
  11. Toss coleslaw mix, vinegar, honey, and 1 Tbsp.
  12. oil in medium bowl.
  13. Season with salt and pepper.
  14. Divide between plates.
  15. Place fish atop coleslaw.
  16. This recipe yields 2 servings.
  17. Comments: Make this a new version of Britain's fish and chips with (frzn) steak fries.
