The Gift Box

  1. Lightly grease a plastic wrap-lined 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
  2. Sprinkle 2/3 cup cookie crumbs on bottom and sides of pan; set aside.
  3. Beat pudding and light cream or half-and-half with mixer at low speed for 1 minute.
  4. Pour into prepared pan; sprinkle with 1/4 cup cookie crumbs.
  5. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  6. Invert loaf onto serving plate; remove pan and plastic wrap (use any remaining cookie crumbs to fill in surface spaces).
  7. Pipe or spread whipped topping over loaf to form a ribbon; decorate with silver dragees if desired.
  8. Cut into slices to serve.
