Bill Knapp's Au Gratin Potatoes #2 Pitzer Recipe
- 6 c. boiled potatoes diced
- 1 x 10 Ounce Can cream of celery soup
- 1 x 10 Ounce Can cheese soup
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1 Tbsp. dry chopped onion
- 1/8 tsp curry pwdr
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 x 8 Ounce Jar Cheese Whiz
- 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- Place potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
- Combine the remaining ingreds.
- in a heavy 2-quart saucepan on MED heat, stirring constantly so mix won't scorch.
- When smooth and satiny in texture, pour the mix over the potatoes, coating them thoroughly.
- Divide between 6 oven-proof bowls or possibly individual casseroles or possibly custard c.. Sprinkle the top of each lightly in paprika and a bit of dry parsley flakes which you have first rubbed to a fine dust between your fingers.
- Place on a cookie sheet on the center rack of a 325'F oven and bake UNcovered for about 35-40 min or possibly till bubbly.
