Southern Style Fried Chicken Recipe
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- Wesson oil
- 2 1/2-3 pound chicken, cut in pcs
- Stir together flour, paprika, salt and baking pwdr.
- In another bowl, stir together lowfat milk and egg.
- Dip chicken pcs in lowfat milk mix; roll in flour mix.
- In a large skillet, heat 1/4 inch Wesson oil.
- Fry meat till brown on one side, turning with tongs.
- Fry 15 min more or possibly till light brown on all sides.
- Reduce heat; cook, covered 20 min.
- Drain chicken on paper towels.
- Serves 6.
