Almond Nougat Crispies Recipe
- 3 x White almond / honey nougat Candy bars-3 ounce each Such as toblerone
- 5 c. Crisp rice cereal
- 1 1/2 c. Sliced almonds toasted
- 3/4 c. Unsalted butter
- 4 c. Miniature marshmallows
- 1.
- Butter an 8-inch square baking pan and set aside.
- Chop the nougat bars finely.
- Toss cereal and nuts in bowl to mix.
- 2.
- Heat butter in large saucepan.
- Add in marshmallows; cook, stirring constantly with wooden spoon, till melted.
- Add in minced nougat, stirring till melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in cereal mix; toss till well coated.
- 3.
- Using buttered spatula, press mix proportionately into prepared pan.
- Cut into squares when cold.
