The Recipe
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 1 can English peas
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 1 can ripe olives, chopped
- 1 can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. oregano or basil leaves
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 c. shell macaroni (uncooked)
- grated or sliced cheese
- Cook macaroni and drain.
- Brown meat, onion and green pepper. Add tomato sauce and tomato soup.
- Add all other ingredients, except English peas.
- Simmer.
- Just before taking up, add peas. Mix all with pasta.
- Put in a baking dish.
- Top with cheese.
- Bake 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
