Strawberry Pretzel Squares

  1. Mix crushed pretzels, 1/3 cup sugar and butter; press firmly into bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.
  2. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
  3. Cool.
  4. Beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and milk until smooth.
  5. Gently stir in whipped topping.
  6. Spread over crust.
  7. Refrigerate.
  8. Meanwhile, stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  9. Stir in cold water.
  10. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened (spoon drawn through leaves a definite impression).
  11. Stir in strawberries.
  12. Spoon over cheese layer.
  13. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  14. Cut into squares.
  15. Garnish with additional whipped topping, if desired.
  16. Note: Recipe can be halved.
