Ginger Trifle

  1. crumble ginger loaf cake in dish
  2. pour pear juice and let to set in fridge (alcohol ie rum or brandy ) with pear juice is nice too
  3. make a thick custard (carnation milk gives a nice rich taste) leave to cool
  4. add pears on top of ginger mix
  5. add custard cover and leave to set
  6. a layer of bananas on top of custard is also a nice twist
  7. whisk double cream with icing sugar till stiff
