warm Bacon slaw

  1. heat EVOO in deep sided pan over low/med heat.
  2. add Bacon cook until starting to turn crispy.
  3. add garlic.
  4. add chopped onion.
  5. cook until onions are soft and Bacon is crispy.
  6. turn heat to low.
  7. add whiskey and vinegar.
  8. stir and turn heat to medium.
  9. add chili paste
  10. let dressing cook down until slightly thickened.
  11. add honey.
  12. stir occasionly.
  13. add salt and pepper to taste.
  14. turn heat off.
  15. add sliced onion and cabbage.
  16. stir to coat.
  17. serve warm on grilled polenta.
