Fancy Hawaiian Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F and heat up a pizza stone for 30 minutes.
  2. In a medium fry pan over medium heat, add a tablespoon (3 teaspoons) of olive oil and add sliced onions.
  3. At the five-minute mark, add 1/4 teaspoon salt and keep cooking until completely caramelized.
  4. If they dry out, simply add a little water one tablespoon at a time.
  5. The onions should take about 20-30 minutes to completely caramelize.
  6. Gently pull pizza dough apart into a non-perfect circle.
  7. It looks cuter this way!
  8. Place on a piece of parchment.
  9. Drizzle with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  10. Add mozzarella and diced pineapple and place on the stone (with parchment) in the oven.
  11. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and add the prosciutto, warm caramelized onions and arugula.
