Campers Apple Crisp Recipe

  1. To make topping: Mix granola, flour and nonfat dry lowfat milk, then knead margarine into the mix.
  2. Place in a resealable plastic bag.
  3. To make filling: Combine cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg and flour in a separate plastic bag.
  4. At camp, in a covered pan, simmer the sugar mix and dry fruit in 1 c. water for 5 min or possibly till fruit is soft.
  5. Apples may take longer to cook than cherries.
  6. Once soft, spoon the topping over the filling and allow to heat through.
  7. Spoon into c. to serve.
