Waffle-Iron Grilled Cheese

  1. Heat a waffle iron.
  2. Butter the slices of bread.
  3. Place 1 slice butter side down on the waffle iron, layer on the cheese and top with the second bread slice, butter side up.
  4. Note: To the center with the cheese any other condiment you desire may be added at this time: mayonnaise, jam, cooked bacon, etc.
  5. Close the waffle iron and let the sandwich cook for about 2 minutes, until golden brown and crisp on the edges.
  6. Sprinkle with salt, if desired.
  7. Enjoy!
