Black Forest Cheesecake
- CRUST:
- 2-1/2 cups Honey Maid Graham Crumbs
- 2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1 bar (3.5oz/100g) chocolate (optional)
- 1 can (19oz/540mL) cherry pie filling
- FILLING:
- 2 pkg. (250g) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup 35% whipping cream
- 2 eggs
- TOPPING:
- 1 cup 35% whipping cream, whipped
- reserved cherry pie filling
- chocolate curls
- CRUST: combine graham crumbs with butter and press into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Crumble chocolate bar over base.
- Reserve 3/4 cup cherry pie filling and spread remainder as evenly as possible over crust.
- FILLING: Beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually beat in sugar and cream.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Pour over crust and bake in 325F oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until centre is set.
- Cool.
- Topping: When ready to serve; spoon whipped cream, reserved cherries and chocolate curls in diagonal rows over top.
