Stuffed Grape Leaves
- 1 lb. ground meat (meat loaf mix is great)
- 1 c. rice, cooked
- 1 medium clove garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 Tbsp. mint, crushed/powdered
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 jar canned grape leaves
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 c. water
- Add cooked rice, meat, grated onion, garlic, salt, pepper and crushed mint in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Remove stem from grape leaf; lay flat on plate.
- Place a roll of mixture on bottom of leaf and roll.
- Turn ends of leaf in and finish rolling.
- Finished roll should be 3 x 3/4-inch roughly.
- Place side by side in baking dish.
- Add lemon and water.
- Bake, covered, at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.
- Makes about 20 rolls.
- (For larger amount, rolls may be layered, but keep covered with water and lemon juice.
- Great for parties.
