Loaded Mashed Potatoe Crokettes #SP5
- 24 ounces Simply Potatoes Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes
- 2 12 cups flour
- 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
- 5 slices bacon
- 48 ounces sunflower oil
- Mix potatoes, 1/2 cup flour and cheese in a large mixing bowl.
- Fry bacon until very crispy.
- Drain bacon on paper towel.
- Let cool.
- After bacon is cool, chop bacon very finely.
- Add and mix bacon to batter.
- Preheat oil to 180 degrees.
- While oil is heating, pour 1 cup of flour out on a baking sheet.
- Add batter to baking sheet and knead in flour.
- Roll batter into one long round strip.
- Cut potatoe batter into 1 1/2 inch stripes.
- Roll strips in leftover flour and gentle lay the strips in oil and let fry for 2-3 minutes Lay crokettes on paper towel and transfer to dinner plate and enjoy!
- These tasty treats can be served alone or with you favor meal.
- These could also be enjoyed with sour cream or your favorite gravy.
