Cherry Cobbler
- 3/4 cup sugar, divided
- 3 Tbsp. MINUTE Tapioca
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 4 cups fresh dark sweet cherries, pitted
- 1 cup all-purpose baking mix
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup PLANTERS Sliced Almonds
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Reserve 2 Tbsp.
- sugar for later use.
- Mix remaining sugar and tapioca in large saucepan; stir in water and lemon juice.
- Bring to boil.
- Add cherries; cook 2 min., stirring frequently.
- Pour into 8- or 9-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Mix baking mix, reserved sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl.
- Add milk; stir until mixture forms soft dough.
- Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto hot fruit mixture; top with nuts.
- Bake 28 to 30 min.
- or until biscuit topping is golden brown.
- Cool slightly.
