Shoyu Chicken Wings Recipe
- 2 pound chicken wings
- 3/4 c. soy (shoyu) sauce
- 1/2 bag Chinese sugar or possibly 3/4 c. regular sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tbsp. Crisco oil
- 2 pcs star anise
- 1/4 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
- 1/2 teaspoon Accent or possibly MSG
- Clean wings and separate at joints.
- Bring all ingredients except chicken to a boil.
- Add in wings and simmer 40 min.
- This is good for a crowd.
- It may be made ahead
