Winter Cake
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup canned fruit, not drained
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup chopped nuts
- Thoroughly mix the first 5 ingredients together until smooth, and then stir in the undrained canned fruit.
- Well butter an eight by eight inch square baking pan and sprinkle with the topping.
- Bake in a preheated 325 degree F oven for about 45-50 minutes, until well done.
- Remove from oven and cool, then slice into 2 inch squares and serve.
