Mapley Garlic Chicken Skewers
- 12 (10 inch) wooden skewers, water-soaked
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 3 tablespoons garlic
- 6 -8 tablespoons maple syrup
- 12 cup ketchup
- 12 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- garlic
- salt and pepper
- 4 pats butter
- For the marinade, combine garlic, maple syrup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Coat the chicken strips in the marinade to coat well.
- Place in a tupperware large enough to hold the skewers or a glass baking dish.
- Cover and marinate overnight (I left it in for 2 days and it was well worth it).
- Thread the chicken strips on the water-soaked wooden skewers.
- Preheat the broiler to high heat.
- Arrange the skewers on a butter greased foil-lined baking sheet.
- Top each with a pat of butter.
- Broil for about 6 to 7 minutes (turning occasionally) until well browned and thoroughly cooked.
