Tostada Casserole
- 1 pound Ground Turkey Or Lean Beef
- 8 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
- 1 can Mushrooms (4 Ounce Can)
- 1 can (4 Oz. Size) Diced Green Chilis
- 1 whole Small Onion, Diced
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 4 ounces, weight Grated Cheese
- 8 whole Tostada Shells Crushed
- 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Beef Broth
- Spray an 8 x 8 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Break 1/2 of the shells on the bottom of the pan.
- In a skillet, brown the meat and then add other ingredients (except cheese, broth and the remaining 1/2 of the shells).
- Cook until everything is well heated and the onions are translucent.
- Spread meat mixture over shells and top with the cheese.
- Break the rest of the shells on top.
- Pour 2/3 of the can of broth over all.
- Bake 35 minutes @ 350 degrees.
- The bottom shells soak up the broth and become polenta-like and the top shells get crunchy.
- Yum!
