Southern Fried/Smothered Chicken

  1. Fry cut chicken on each side until brown, set aside.
  2. Fry onion about 15 minutes leaving a crust on bottom of pot.
  3. Put chicken, bell pepper and garlic in pot and add 1 or 2 cups water.
  4. Cook 30-45 minutes
  5. Flip over the chicken then cook longer..30-45 minutes
  6. Add more water if its boiling out.
