Crockpot Stuffing Recipe

  1. Spray slow cooker insert with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and celery.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook, stirring, until onions soften, about 10 minutes.
  6. Pour mixture over stuffing mix.
  7. Add poultry seasoning, eggs, apples and cranberries.
  8. Spoon into the prepared slow cooker.
  9. Add just enough chicken broth to moisten the stuffing.
  10. Do not add too much broth or the stuffing will turn out mushy.
  11. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
