Sake Mojito
- 8 shiso (Japanese) mint leaves
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup
- 3 ounces very dry sake
- 1 ounce plum wine
- Tear up the mint (not too small) into a martini shaker.
- Crush the mint.
- Not too much that the mint will be in small pieces, just enough to get the aroma and flavor out.
- Squeeze in the lime juice.
- Add a teaspoon of simple syrup.
- Add ice 2/3rds of the way up the shaker.
- Add very dry sake.
- Add plum wine.
- Shake vigorously.
- Pour into a tall glass.
