Peppery Chicken Wings Recipe
- 16 chicken wings
- 1 teaspoon peanut or possibly vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. plain low fat yogurt
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. crumbled blue cheese
- 1/2 sm. onion, grated
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- Preheat the broiler.
- Separate the chicken wings at the joint and remove and throw away the wing tips.
- In a medium size bowl combine the peanut oil and cayenne pepper; add in the chicken wings and turn till well coated.
- Place the chicken wings on the broiler pan rack and broil about 8 inch from the heat, turning occasionally till crisp and golden brown about 20 min.
- Meanwhile prepare the dip in a medium size bowl.
- Whisk together the yogurt, buttermilk, blue cheese, onion and vinegar, transfer to a small serving bowl.
- Set the dip in the center of a hot round platter and arrange the broiled chicken wings around it.
- Serves 8.
