Ground Beef Chop Suey Recipe
- 2 c. sliced celery
- 1/2 c. sliced onion
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 beef bouillon cube or possibly 1 teaspoon granules
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 c. cabbage, minced
- 4 c. cooked rice
- Brown grnd beef; add in onion and celery.
- Cook till meat is brown and vegetables are tender.
- Blend cornstarch with water.
- Stir into beef mix.
- Add in bouillon, soy sauce and salt.
- Cook till sauce is thickened and clear.
- Add in cabbage.
- Cook, covered, about 5 min, till cabbage is crispy.
- Makes 6 servings.
- Serve on cooked rice.
