Brazil Nut Butterscotch Brownie Recipe

  1. *If using self-rising flour omit baking pwdr and salt.
  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Grease square pan, 8 X 8 X 2 inches.
  4. Heat shortening in 1-1/2-qt saucepan over low heat till melted; remove from heat.
  5. Fold in brown sugar, vanilla and egg.
  6. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  7. Spread in pan.
  8. Bake 25 min.
  9. Cut into 2-inch squares while hot.
  10. 16 BROWNIES; 150 CALORIES PER BROWNIE.
