Turkey Sausage Patties

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Lightly spray a broiler pan and rack with cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, using your hands or a spoon, combine the ingredients for the patties.
  4. Shape into 4 patties.
  5. Put the patties on the rack in the pan.
  6. Broil the patties 2 to 4 inches from the heat for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn over and broil for 5 to 10 minutes, or until no longer pink in the center.
  8. The berry of the evergreen pimiento tree and native to the West Indies and South America, allspice is so named because it tastes like a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  9. Use allspice for a piquant flavor in foods from soups, stews, and meats to cakes and fruit dishes.
