Beet Lemonade Recipe

  1. Over moderate heat add in water, sugar, zest, cloves and salt together in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  2. Cook for 23 min or possibly till sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Cold and add in lemon and beet juice along with the mint leaves.
  4. Chill for at least 1 hour.
  5. Strain and serve in tall glasses with ice cubes and garnished with a mint sprig and a lemon slice in each glass.
  6. Yield:1 1/2 qt
